Definition Contest

This is TiAS’s second contest! To enter in the contest you must, make up a definition for the word “duty”. Then, post your answer as a comment below. I will pick the best definition to receive the cash prize!

Other Rules:

  • You may only enter once; supplementary entries will be voided.
  • You may not read a dictionary (in book form or online) or anyone else’s definition before placing yours.
  • All entries must be placed by August 12th; the judging will happen shortly after.
  • No cheating!

    A job which one feels obligated to do.

    here’s my stab at it Spencer.
    Duty–” obligation to act within the boundaries of what is right and good, when on sees the need or opportunity to act.” How’s that, Pick me, Pick me, Pick me!

    Duty is the job that is yours to do, perhaps given at the hand of men but judged by your conscience as inspired by the Holy Spirit.

    Here’s mine:
    Something that you are clearly required, but usually not forced to do, either by God, by society, or out of necessity.
